How much does a mural cost?
Each project is unique and is priced individually. The final cost depends upon factors such as size, complexity, and physical location. To see some real-life examples, you can view my Mural Pricing and Process Guide (link will open a Google Drive file.)
Before any paint hits the wall, a lot of time goes into designing an original, custom mural. I do multiple consultation calls to understand what your goals are, create a design that meets your needs, revise it, and provide a mock-up so you know what to expect.
How long does a mural take?
Most of my murals take between 1-8 days to complete, often after several weeks have been spent discussing, creating, and revising designs. Some murals have taken 2 weeks to paint—it really depends on the scale and complexity. I tend to be booked out several weeks in advance with projects, but can occasionally accommodate a rush job. Let me know if you have a deadline, and I can let you know what my schedule looks like.
What is the commission process like?
Star by filling out my Mural Quote Form. After that, I'll reach out to schedule a Zoom call and present a mood board to get aligned on logistics and direction. Once you put down a 50% deposit, we move onto pencil sketches, then a color concept, then the final design.
You can get more details and view a sample timeline via my Mural Pricing and Process Guide.
What type of paint do you use?
I use Low-VOC acrylic latex wall paint for mural backgrounds, and Golden brand artist acrylics for all the details. They are non-toxic and safe for children's bedrooms. Zero-VOC wall paint is also available upon request.
Will you repaint the room a solid color?
I recommend getting a house painter in ahead of me if you are looking to change the full room color. I’ll alter the background color on any wall that I’m painting a mural on.
